Esophageal Phlebectasias



Focally dilated venous structures in the proximal esophagus of a 94 year old woman undergoing percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy placement. She had no history of liver disease, and there were no typical varices either in the remainder of the esophagus or in the stomach.
