Benign Polyps
78 year-old woman undergoing evaluation of anemia and occult gastrointestinal bleeding. Capsule enteroscopy demonstrated several small polypoid lesions such as these. The polyps are erythematous and seen protruding into the lumen from the right side of each image. the histology is unknown; the lesions appear grossly benign and surgery is not felt to be indicated.
Smooth, benign-appearing polypoid lesion in the jejunum. The lesion grossly resembles a lipoma or leiomyoma.
