Gastric Polyps



57 year-old woman undergoing evaluation of gastrointestinal bleeding. Capsule enteroscopy demonstrated the sessile antral polyp which had been previously seen at esophagogastroduodenoscopy. At that time, biopsy had revealed the lesion to be hyperplastic.



Antral polyp seen prolapsing through the pyloric channel by the capsule which is located in the duodenal bulb, "looking backward" toward the pylorus. The capsule study showed the polyp prolapsing in and out repeatedly with antral contractions.
