Overview – How Can ‘Macujo Method Help You?
1. Macujo Method, the hair cleaning procedure to pass a hair drug test, was invented by one of the smartest marijuana users approximately 15 years ago. The primary principal behind it, as for other hair cleaning methods, is to open the cuticle in order to clean THC metabolites from the cortex.
This is how it looks on the picture.
The hair shaft is comprised of three layers: cuticle, cortex, and medulla. THC metabolites are stored in the cortex, which is in turn protected by the cuticle.
The cuticle is a hard shingle-like layer of overlapping cells, from five to twelve layers deep.
In order to clean the metabolites from the cortex, the cuticle must first be opened before penetration.
2. Macujo Method consists of two parts: initial cleaning with Heinz vinegar and Clean and Clear Pink and final cleaning with Aloe Toxin Rid Shampoo Old Style (old formula) and Tide Liquid Laundry Detergent.
During the initial part, acetic acid (vinegar component ) and salicylic acid (Clean and Clear component) damage the cuticle creating pores, fissures and cracks in the cuticle. Moreover, combination of these two acids helps remove external barriers like dirt and oil from the cuticle.
During the final part, a combination of many specially formulated components of Aloe Toxin Rid Old Style shampoo including a high propylene glycol, opens the cuticle and reduce the metabolites from the cortex.
3. It is important to note that only the old formula of Old Style Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo with the high propylene glycol is effective.
4. We have seen that Macujo method has a high success rate for detoxing different substances from hair including but not limited to: Marijuana (THC metabolite), Cocaine metabolites, Opiates (Codeine, Morphine & 6-monacteyl morphine), Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Ecstasy, Phencyclidine (PCP), Alcohol (Ethyl glucuronide (EtG), Nicotine (Cotinine).”
5. The Macujo method is effective for detoxing head, facial and body hair. However, performing the Macujo method on your body hair can be challenging.
So, if you have head hair, I usually recommend shaving or trimming your body hair very short. In this case, only a sample of your head hair will be taken.
If you do not have enough head hair to obtain a sample from, and want to make sure that the hair sample will be taken from only one part your body, you need to make sure you have at least 1.5 inches of hair on that body part and shave or trim the rest of your body hair.
For example if you would have shaved your whole body of hair and left only arm pit hair, the arm pits hair sample would be taken.
6. After performing multiple hair cleansing methods, I always recommend using an express home hair drug test. This helps to find out how well you performed the Macujo method and if you need to cleanse your hair more or not.

Summery Instructions:
In order to achieve the best results, you should repeat the cleaning procedure described below at least 5 times during the last 3 days prior to your hair drug test.
Macujo Method’s Instructions Step by Step:
First Step: STOP using Marijuana or any other drugs!
You MUST STOP using marijuana and any other drugs before you start the hair cleaning process. If you do not stay “clean”, the cleaning program will not help you pass the hair drug test.
Second Step: Wet your hair
- Wet your hair well with warm water
Third Step: Pour Heinz vinegar
- Pour Heinz vinegar on your head massaging it into your hair all the way down to the scalp. Protect your face and eyes to avoid damage.
Fourth Step: Apply Clean and Clear Pink to your hair
- Pour a dollop of Clean and Clear Pink on to your hands and massage into your hair. Since Clean and Clear main component is salicylic acid, you might burn your scalp. In order to avoid irritation of the face, eyes and/or ears, , you may want to wrap a large bath towel around your head.
Firth Step: Leave the mix of Heinz vinegar and Clean and Clear Pink on your hair for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with water properly.
Sixth Step: Wash your hair 2 times with Old Style Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo
- Wash your hair with Old Style Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo according to the instructions in the Aloe Toxin Rid Old Style Shampoo Review.
It takes only approximately 10 minutes to wash the hair with Old Style Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo.
Seventh Step: Wash your hair with Tide Liquid Laundry Detergent.
In order to achieve the best results, you should:

Gary..I have never experienced or heard of other users losing hair after performing the Macujo method. You might face some side effects like very dry hair, red scalp and some burning sensation. But every user reacts differently. To ease the discomfort, you can use a hair conditioner. But you have to make sure that you wait at least an hour after the Macujo application so as not to alter the effects.
I would recommend adding to the Macujo method using the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo twice a day. This should help not only with detoxing your hair but also with easing some of the Macujo method side effects.

TY.. I think you might have a chance to pass your hair test without using any hair cleansing methods because of your very low THC exposure. To be on the safe side, I would recommend using an express home hair drug test. This will show where you stand and if you need to perform the Macujo method or not.

Needstoppass..In your case I would recommend performing a combination of the Macujo and the Aloe Toxin Rid Treatment methods as many times as your hair scalp and hair can handle (12-15 times). Don’t forget using the Ultra Clean shampoo on your drug test day.

I have a Hair follicle test coming up this Monday, the 18th. Please don’t try to make me feel better with soothing words lol. I would like your honest feedback. I haven’t smoked since Friday February 8th 2019, I am a very very heavy user of Marijuana, basically high all day as soon as I awake. its pretty potent stuff, wax, wax pens, all having 90% THC or higher. I have been doing the Macujo Method since Wednesday February 13th 2019. 3 times Wednesday the 13th, 1 time Thursday 14th, I’m letting the vinegar and clean and clear soak as I type this (Friday 15th). I plan one doing two more times today (Friday 15th) as well as three times during tomorrow the 16th, three times during the 17th, and one time in the morning of the test followed by the Zydot before the test. What would you say my chances are of passing the HFT, wise one?? Note I have all ingredients, white vinegar, clean and clear deep cleanse, old style aloe toxin rid from testclear, and tide laundry detergent. I’ve been following all steps to a tee! letting soak for 30-45 mins, wash and scrub vigorously TWICE with old style aloe toxin, wash and scrub hard with tide. TheTHClad..In your case, I would recommend performing at least total 15-17 times Macujo methods plus adding washing your hair twice a day with the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo and the Ultra Clean shampoo on your drug test day. You should apply the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo on your hair and let it sit for a while.
Your chances of passing should be good, but because of your extremely high THC-COOH levels, there is no guarantee though. However your approach is the best you can do at the moment.

So I ended up doing the Macujo method a total of 15 times in last five days with not smoking since the 8th. 5 separate washes with the old style aloe toxin rid on the last three days, left in a very long time. My head is at very very high discomfort lol shit is not fun. I also did the clean and clear process to a tee, only using half of the first step shampoo and using the other half to wash out the second step purifier. I did every step with care and followed directions for everything from what to do, to how long it suggested to do them. Very very, very nervous. I’ll update you,DetoxJohn, with my results in about three weeks. I also know what type of lab they used, if that matters. I think I read somewhere that one is more complex then the other. ??♂️

TheTHClad..It looks like you have done everything possible to increase your odds of passing your test. The most challenging test to pass is at the Psychemedics Lab as they use the lowest cutoff level for marijuana on the market – 0.5 pg/mg. Most other Labs use – 1 pg/mg.

I am anticipating a hair drug test but don’t know when. 2/16 I started washing my hair with vinegar & clean and clear twice a day awaiting the aloe rid shampoo to arrive Monday. Monday 2/18- today 2/21 I did the macujo method twice a day. I don’t know when my test will be but may be sometime end of next week. I have used norco the past three months occasionally and drank on the weekends. I can’t test positive for drugs or alcohol. How many times should I do the macujo method? And if they don’t end up testing me next week will my hair still be clean if they decide to test me let’s say in a few weeks or a month from now? I don’t plan on using . My last drink was on 2/3/19.

Kayla….As norco and alcohol can stay in your system for only about 3 days, after cleansing your hair properly with the Macujo method, your hair should be clean for good until you start using substances or alcohol again.
I would recommend performing the Macujo method at least 10-12 times plus using the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo twice a day and on your drug test day the Ultra Clean shampoo.
If you have enough time until your test, I would highly recommend using an express home hair drug test (2 business days to get your test results). This will help to find out where you stand with your norco (acetaminophen) and alcohol (ethanol) levels and if you need to perform more cleansing methods or not.

Very heavy marijuana user. About 2-4 grams a day. Stopped smoking on 02/19. I’ve done the macujo method 7 times so far. I have my test on 02/22. I don’t have Tide, but I have everything else. Will this affect the results a lot, or do I have a chance of passing if I do the method another 7-8 times and use the Zydot shampoo before going in for the test? Also, I use the vinegar and clean and clear once, let it sit for 30 minutes, rinse and apply the toxin rid. I rinse and repeat as many times as I can and then use Gain laundru detergent. Smoke history 1 blunt per day of kush everyday for the past 10 years. I am African American Male with dark course hair. I have been clean for 3 weeks. I started macujo 10 days ago. Performed macujo 2 x a day and today before the test added zydot. My underarms hurt and my skin definitely has chemicals burns. During test I told tech I was allergic to a new deodorant. I am not sure she bought it but continued cutting. She took hair from both armpits. I am waiting for results but wanted an opinion on what odds are for passing.

Oh my gosh this really works! I was so worried about this from the moment I found out it was a hair and urine test to this morning when I went to get my results in person.
I did not smoke since the week of 1/4.
I did the Macujo Method starting on 2/18 once or twice a day and then took a short break because I was almost out of the aloe rid shampoo and my physical for the job got pushed back. My test was on 3/8 so I started doing the washes again on 3/4. I used the Zydot the day of the test. It was a lot of work and a bit expensive but definitely worth it! I have a hft test possibly within the next week. I’m a habitual user at least 3 blunts a day for the last 3 yrs. I just stopped 2 days ago and yesterday I started the macujo method only I’m using paul Mitchell number 3 instead of the aloe rid. Will this or any other shampoo work as well or am I just wasting my time. Also I have ultra clean for night before and day of test.

In your case, I would recommend rescheduling your test if you can and considering performing a combination of the Macujo (with the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo) and the Aloe Toxin Rid Treatment methods as many times as your hair and scalp can handle (min 12-15 times).
Because of your very prolonged and heavy THC exposure, your THC-COOH levels in your hair are very high now. So, you should take your hair detoxing process seriously if you would like to pass your test.
If you have enough time until test, I would recommend using an express home hair test (2 business days to get your results back). This will show where you stand and what you should do next.

Hi. Thank you for your response. I have read on other sights that some have passed using the shampoo I got or nexxus but I was skeptical for myself due to my extensive exposure…sadly I can’t afford the aloe at the moment but I will wash it more times a day than I have been. I also cut , bleached and dyed my hair (the little that is left). I havent been given an official date for the test so Im wondering if I’m doing all of this prematurely because it only temporarily masks the thc right?

Qween.. Because of your very high THC exposure, you face hair recontamination issue. So, you should cleanse your hair until your hair test.
I am afraid that Macujo method won’t be effective without using aloe toxin rid shampoo. I understand the money issue though. In this case, I would recommend performing the Jerry G method using all of the right method components and following the method instructions to the letter.

Just an update..no test yet but since my last post im 15 days clean I have done the the Jerry g method and I have been doing the macujo method every day minus 2days (3/30&31) so total now about 12-16times but using the PM3 shampoo. I have been a heavy smoker for about 7 years. I stopped smoking on Jan 7th 2019, knowing I would have to take a hair test. I did the Ultra Clean kit, and did a HiarConfirm test on 3/23 and still had 20.9x the passing amount of THC.
I have just bought the TestClear Aloe Rid, and am buying the tide, clean and clear, and vinegar today. Mary..As your THC-COOH levels are pretty high at the moment, I would recommend performing a combination of the Macujo and the Aloe Toxin Rid Treatment methods as many times as your hair and scalp can handle it until your hair test day (in your case min 12-18 times).
In cases like yours we usually recommend performing the Macujo method plus using the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo twice a day and the Ultra Clean shampoo on your test day. To ease the discomfort, you can use a hair conditioner. But you have to make sure that you wait at least an hour after the Macujo application so as not to alter the effects.
As the Macujo method is not as effective without the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo, I would recommend waiting until you will receive it.
After performing multiple times the combination of the above mentioned hair cleansing methods, I would highly recommend checking your THC-COOH levels with another express home hair test. This will show where you stand and what you should do next.

How long do I have to wait to start the next treatment? I only have three more days and I have only done 3 treatments. Can I do a treatment, wait an hour, and then start the next treatment? I think you suggest 8-10 times total.
Should I also be using the aloe rid without doing the whole Macujo method? If so, how many times would give the best results and can I use conditioner at this time?
How soon before the test do I need to do the ultra clean shampoo? Right before or can it be just the day of even if the test isn’t till the afternoon?

Cat.. 1.It is recommended using either a new brush/comb or washing it with Tide Detergent after every application.
2. You can perform the Macujo method on your own schedule as many times as your hair and scalp can handle especially if you are a heavy user (min 10-12).
3. We usually recommend adding to the Macujo method using the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo twice a day. You can use a hair conditioner even after each Macujo method. But you have to make sure that you wait at least an hour after the Macujo application so as not to alter the effects.
4. The Ultra Clean shampoo is effective for 24 hours so you can use it any time on your drug test day.

Hey DetoxJohn, i am doing the macujo method to pass the drug test for an amazing job.i have been smoking several times for over a year. i recently stopped smoking about two weeks ago and leave the room while my wife smokes. i got a new pillow, pillow case, and a hat to avoid contamination. I’ve been doing the macujo method once in the morning and once before i go to bed for a few days now. I’ve done this 5 times total so far. how many times should i do this process? I was also wondering if there is anything i can do to help my scalp be less irritated after using the vinegar and clean and clear. does the vinegar have to be Heinz? I’ve been using a Kroger brand of vinegar. what does the tide do in this process? I’ve tried researching it and cannot find anything about it.

SamIam..If you were not a heavy user (2 times a week), you should complete at least 8-10 Macujo methods plus using the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo twice a day and the Ultra Clean shampoo on your drug test day.
Don’t forget using either a new hair brush after each hair cleansing process or wash it with Tide detergent.
To ease the discomfort, you can use a hair conditioner. But you have to make sure that you wait at least an hour after the Macujo application so as not to alter the effects.
If you have time until your hair test, I would recommend checking where you stand with a home hair test. This will show if you can pass it or not.

Hi,
Been off weed for about 6 weeks. Had a Hair Drug Test today, April 12th. I started the Macujo Method on Tuesday Night April 9th . From Tuesday night until this morning, April 12th, I completed the Macujo 9 times in 3.5 days with Old Rid as part of the method. Thursday night after the 3rd time doing the Mac Method that day, and before bed, I shampoo’d with Zydot using directions as instructed, and wore a Shower Cap to bed. Today, Friday April 12th, I did 1 more Macujo Method in the morning, and then used the Zydot an hour before the test. New towel, new combs used. Yes, my scalp feels fried, ears are blood red, and hair is so crisp and dry like ever before. Quest Diagnostics took about 2″ of hair length where possible, so not to mess my haircut. So now I wait. Do you think the 9 times of Macujo Method as instructed here, in 3,5 days and Zydot Friday night and lastly again before the test gives me a high chance of passing? I followed the Mac Method exactly stated on this website, no short cuts.

Bob..Without knowing your THC exposure, it is tough to say if performing nine Macujo methods would be enough in your case or not. If you were a light or moderate user, nine Macujo methods should be enough.
But for heavy users we usually recommend performing as many times Macujo method as their hair and scalp can handle it ( min 12-15 times).

It is recommended to follow the Macujo method instructions precisely including using Heinz vinegar. You can buy Heinz vinegar at any grocery store. Others might work just as well but why risk it.

Haley..For heavy users we usually recommend performing the Macujo method plus using the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo twice a day and Ultra Clean shampoo on your dug test day. Because of your heavy THC exposure you should perform as many Macujo methods as your head and scalp can handle. (min of 12-15 times).
How effective the hair cleansing methods will be in your case depends on your THC-COOH levels and how well you follow the hair cleansing methods instructions and our recommendations.

Lala..The best plan of action would be to first cleanse your system from THC. You can detox naturally with the help of aerobic exercise, visiting a sauna, eating healthy and drinking plenty of water within the next 45-80 days.
You might consider using a 10 day whole body detox program if you would like to speed up the detox process as well.
As soon as you clean your system from THC (test negative on a home urine drug test), you can start performing the Macujo method as you won’t face a hair recontamination issue.
After performing the Macujo method at least 12-15 times plus using the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo 2 times a day, I would recommend using a home hair drug test. This will show where you stand and what you should do next.
If your THC-COOH levels still exceed the cutoff levels, you should continue performing the Macujo method until you cleanse your hair properly.
Don’t forget using Ultra Clean shampoo on your hair drug test as well.

I never used to do drugs. I decided to try a gummy for the first time and I freaked out it’s been about 2 weeks since I’ve done the gummy and that was my first time smoking. I took I hit from a dab pen 2 weeks ago. Other than that I have never used marijuana before. I have a job interview and a hair and follicle drug test on the 3rd of June in about 2 weeks. I ordered the shampoo and the conditioner. I started the vinegar and sylic acid and wash with laundry soap until my shampoo arrives and then I’ll do that process but with the shampoo twice a day. I also scheduled appointment to get highlights on Friday. Do you think my chances of passing the drug test are good. I did take more than I should have for gummies for my weight I took way too much not knowing because it was my first time but that was my first time. I have long dirty blonde hair with highlights already but my hair is very nice I like to keep my hair smooth healthy looking. Will that affect how well it keeps the drugs in my hair or is that easier for the drugs to come out.

I also exercise regularly and I eat really healthy and I drink lots of water for the day already. I do use a conditioner that’s salon approved and well for my hair I detangle my hair because my hair is really bad at tangling so I use that as well because otherwise I can’t brush my hair with the detox. Kara..So far, we have seen the best outcome that hair drug tests marijuana users have achieved is when they combine the two proven hair cleansing methods: the Macujo and Aloe Toxin Rid Treatment method with the Ultra Clean shampoo used on the day of the drug test.
If you already test negative on a home urine drug test (no hair recontamination issue), you can start cleansing your hair with a combination of the above hair cleansing methods as soon as you receive the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo.
I would not recommend using other Macujo method components without the Aloe Toxin Rid shampoo as this only damage your hair without proper detoxing it.
After performing multiple hair cleansing methods, I would recommend using an express home hair drug test (2 business days to get results back). I was a daily smoker, at least a joint (roughly a gram in size) for about a year. I quit smoking on May 21st of this year. I bought the aloe rid shampoo and have used it 16 times, alone, and have now done the Macujo method twice as well. My test is Friday and I plan to try and get at least 8 Macujo’s in along with using the aloe rid twice per day as well.
Is there anything I am missing that I need to do here? I have the Zydot for the day of as well but wanted to make certain that I am putting myself in the best position possible to pass this test.

I got a break and now have until Monday to do the test. I have done the macujo method now 8 times and will shoot for 16+ if I can handle them all.
The shampoo is the Aloe Toxin Rid from testclear so it is the correct one. I have also done that now 22 times. I will just trudge along and get as many of both as I can before Monday. I will post a follow up review as well once I get the results.

I have been doing the Aloe Toxin Rid wash in the mornings and before bed and letting it sit in my hair for 15 minutes each time before rinsing. I am not counting the two rinses with the Macujo method when I count how many washes I have done with the Aloe Toxin Rid. So I am on track now to have 28 Aloe Toxin Rid washes, alone, and 23 Macujo washes before my test, I will also use the Zydot the morning of after my last Macujo and Aloe Toxin Rid wash.

Well, as it may be they screwed the hair sample up at the lab and I have to give another this coming Wednesday. I have some of all the products except the Zydot left to use prior to this test as well. How many times should I do the macujo before this next test with all that I had done for the one I did last week? I have not been re-exposed to any drugs since then.
